Why Cornish beaches are the very best!

Article by artavia.seo

For a lot of beachgoers, Cornish beaches are thought to be the best of the best, and there are reasons for this. One of the main reasons is the quality of the water. Recent tests were conducted on the water at seventy-five of the beaches all across Cornwall and they passed those tests. That means that the water is clean, healthy and suitable for swimming in. A few other beaches in the area did not pass, but getting seventy-five of then to pass was a huge boost for the community. Those who run that community hope that it will also be a huge boost for the tourism industry, because tourism is Cornwall has been down to some degree recently, and the economic troubles that the entire world seems to be facing are definitely not helping anything where that is concerned. In addition to the fact that almost all of the beaches passed, many of them had water quality and other cleanliness issues that went above and beyond what would have been needed to earn a satisfactory rating. The community leaders in that area know that the weather is a bit cold at the moment, but the hope is that there will be many more people coming out to enjoy the beaches next year when the weather warms up.

It’s very hard to bring people to a beachside community, and to get them to come back again and again, if the beaches are unclean and the water is not fit to swim in. Because the pound has slid some against other currencies that also means that travelling to another country on holiday has become more expensive. If a person can stay home and just go to Cornwall to have a great beach vacation, that person can also spend a lot less money and enjoy themselves more without breaking the bank. The beaches are a very large part of the tourism industry in Cornwall, but some of the beaches have failed the cleanliness testing in the past and that kept some people away. Now those who watch over and take care of the area want everyone to know that the beaches are back in top form and just waiting for people to come and enjoy them.

Renowned Cornish walks

Article by artavia.seo

If you want to take a holiday to Cornwall, you might want to consider getting a self catering cottage so that you can really come and go as you please and have plenty of time to do what you like. These cottages are also often much roomier than a hotel room, they are generally cheaper, and you can bring more people with you. The whole family or group of friends can stay under one roof. With that in mind, it’s a great idea to plan what you’re going to do in Cornwall. A lot of people like to take walks there because there are so many beautiful things to see. Bodmin Moor is one of the Bronze Age settlements, and there are still standing stones, barrows, cairns, and all sorts of artifacts scattered in the area. Camel Trail is another great choice. It’s more than seventeen miles total, but you don’t have to walk all of it if you’re not comfortable with that. You can simply walk part of it and enjoy a specific area instead of trying to tackle the whole thing. There are farm trails and coastal paths, too, and there are great places to walk your dog.

No matter which walk you might be interested in, or whether you want to do things with a group, with a partner, with a pet, or on your own, there are choices. Walking around is very healthy for you, and who doesn’t want to take a look at the great scenery wherever they are taking their holidays at. If you get a cottage that’s self catering, Cornwall can be a beautiful and wonderful experience that you won’t really have to spend a lot of money on. There’s nothing wrong with staying in a great hotel, but much of the beauty of Cornwall is outdoors anyway, and self catering cottages cost a lot less. They are clean and decent and comfortable places to sleep, so when you’re going to be out seeing the sights most of the time, who needs more than that to come back to? Take some of these famous Cornish walks and really look at, appreciate, and get back to nature. You’ll be glad that you had the chance to experience and enjoy something like that, and it’s something that you and your family can remember for a very long time to come. Memories like that are precious, and you can make them in Cornwall.

Access to Cornwall – Why a Vehicle Ought to Be an Critical Portion of Your Cornish Holiday

Article by Alex

There are plenty of ways to get to Cornwall when you decide that it’s about time you took a holiday there, and a car is definitely among them. Some people might decide that they’d prefer to leave their car at home though, and make use of public transport to get them where they need to go. There are certainly advantages to doing so. You don’t have to worry about the car whilst you’re there, for one, and you won’t be in such cramped conditions with your luggage taking up half the back seats if you go by train or plane, but there are other advantages that a car gives you, particularly when you’re on holiday.

Being able to make your own schedules to get to attractions, restaurants where you want to eat out or even just when you’re leaving is a massive advantage. Brining your own transport gives you a degree of freedom that you simply won’t have if you decide to venture into Cornwall in a car-less state. Of course, you could rent bikes once you’re in Cornwall, which may be a perfectly fine way of getting about depending on how far you want to travel.

There’s also the fact that you can be sure of having transport when you need it. There’s always the chance that busses or trains could be delayed or even cancelled outright, which will put a huge roadblock in your holiday experience. You don’t need to worry about that with a car (unless the car itself breaks down of course).

A car also means that if the worst comes to the worst and you decide it would be best for you to cut your holiday short and either return home or move to another venue, you’ll be able to do so with a minimum of fuss and bother. If you’ve come down by train or plane you have the whole headache of cancelling tickets, booking new ones (which could be very expensive at such short notice) and then making an unscheduled trip to the airport or station.

So, if you decide you can face however many hours it will take to reach Cornwall by car, including any time stuck in traffic jams and possibly with bored children in the back of the car, it’s probably worth it.
